Christmas Wishes

With two and a half hours of Christmas left, I thought I’d better jump in and say, “Merry Christmas!” But, I mean, it’s probably in the early hours of Christmas morning everywhere else. Gosh, you guys are slow.

So, I got mainly books, but also a beard trimmer and some clothes. I’m a happy man. Hope your Christmas finds you well, and leaves you even better.

    • It was raining all day yesterday (Christmas day) but it appears to be steadily heating up today. The weather is crazy! Can’t tell what it’s going to be.
Do you have snow? I’ve always wanted to have a white Christmas. One day… πŸ˜›

      • There’s been a song about a white Christmas; and I’d have to say it fits the spirit perfectly! No snow this year in my part of France, but I’ll make sure you get some if you come over for Christmas one day πŸ™‚

      • Is it a new song?
I’ll definitely come over one Christmas, but it might not be for a while. At the moment, I’m hoping to apply for a three-week creative writing course at Oxford (fingers crossed!) during your summer (our winter). Hopefully (if I get in), I’ll be able to meet up with you! But you’d probably be back in France by July, wouldn’t you?

  1. Oh no it’s an old one! White Christmas, reprised by Dean Martin, Otis Redding, and many more.
This Oxford summer course would be amazing for you! I’ve heard about it last year, and Oxford is such a nice city! I don’t know yet where I’ll be in July, maybe back in France or still in England, depending on how my dissertation is going; but in any case Europe is small and you can always come to Paris for a couple of days, or I’ll come to England, I don’t want to miss the opportunity to see you!

    • Ah yes, I know the one πŸ™‚
If I manage to be able to get to Oxford for the summer, I’ll have to visit you, no matter where you are! If you’re in France, it’d be great to get a tour of your hometown (and, if at all possible, perhaps stay with you/your family so I don’t have to pay for accommodation πŸ˜› ) It’s very exciting! But applications for the programme haven’t opened yet…so very soon…

      • I’ve read about this programme, when I visited Oxford last spring; it’s in a very beautiful college, all central and perfectly located. And it’s mostly ‘fun’, in the sense that there is no assessment, you just have to attend and do things you like!
And yes, you’d be very welcome to stay with me, wherever that is! I could even help you settle in on your arrival πŸ™‚

      • Yes, it’s in Exeter! It looks amazing! I think I’ll drool over the architecture when I get there πŸ˜›
I have to talk to my subject coordinator here, just to make sure that I can count it as credit points towards my final degree.
Yay! It would be so great to finally meet you in person!

  2. I’m sure you’ll love it! Hope everything will work out well then. And if it’s an insanely hot summer again, this time I’ll have you to cut my hair πŸ˜‰

I'd love to hear from you...if you're real...
